Here I am with a core group of dynamic and amazing people from The Hawaii International Forgiveness Project. They were instrumental in me finally getting a really professional and good quality film of my live one-woman show, My Brooklyn Hamlet, receiving a ‘Hero of Forgiveness award on Hawaii Forgiveness Day, and so much more.
Have you ever met people that feel like family (Ohana) from the moment you connect with them? That’s what happened for me.
I want to take the chance here to talk a little more about synchronicity and saying Yes to the Universe. I want you to look at your lives and see where there might be the opportunity to experience more synchronicities by really being present in the moment and listening and looking for connections and ease.
I went to Hawaii in the end of May to celebrate the sale of our beautiful home in Sedona and to pet-sit with a friend on Oahu for one month. He offered and we said Yes. We noticed what perfect timing it was as all our things were in storage, we had no mortgage payment, some money in the bank, and a wonderful friend to take care of our dog. I didn’t even take the props for my show because I thought this trip was strictly vacation!
I was a board member of Unity Church in Sedona and actively involved in the community there so when I found out there was a Unity Church in Hawaii with a dynamic minister I looked forward to going to a service and decided I would go whether or not my partner or friend came. Another Yes, as I followed my internal guidance.
While at church we all got to talking with a friendly man and we decided to go out to dinner with him. Another Yes. He called his girlfriend who joined us and when finding out about my story and what I do she connected me with someone from The Hawaii International Forgiveness Project who then invited me to be the guest speaker that Friday at their monthly forgiveness meeting. Yes. Are you seeing a theme here?
Attendees then invited me to speak for their own spiritual communities after hearing and seeing my talk (one was on Maui, where I happened to be going) and the list goes on. Yes, yes, yes.
I didn’t say, NO-I can’t because I had planned my trip to be a vacation. I didn’t say, No-I can’t perform my show because I don’t have my props. I called a friend back in AZ (Jennifer) and she offered to go into my storage unit (bless her) and send me my ‘stuff.’ Now–I packed my one-woman show ‘stuff’ right in front of the door of my storage unit just in case. What part of me knew of the possibilities that were to come…and so fast?
Are you ready for the opportunities coming to you right now so you can act on them?
Are you prepared for the opportunities that lay before you? WIll you say YES, even when it might be inconvenient or not as you planned it in your head so you can grow and give more than you ever thought possible? You will be rewarded. I was over and over again.
I gained friends, knowledge, an award for forgiveness, an abundance of money, places to stay and a car to drive. I gained the look on people’s faces in my workshops when they got a new insight and let go of fear. I got to work with grad students and elders and children and high school students. I had the opportunity to share why forgiveness is so important and how it transformed my life.
What is your message? I know you have one.
Until next time….
Forgive and Be Free,
