I’m super excited.
I’ll be performing my one-woman show at the Leeds Jewish International Performing Arts Festival

and at The New End Theatre in London in June.

My one-woman show, My Brooklyn Hamlet, includes Shakespeare’s brilliant text from Hamlet as a metaphor for what happened in my family. My father killed my mother and married my aunt. In Hamlet, his uncle killed his father and married his mother.

When I felt most alone in this world-I found solace in Shakespeare’s character and inspiration to change the ending of the story. Instead of being defeated by my loss I found a way to creatively express it by giving voice to all the characters involved and finding my lessons.

My mom taught me Shakespeare when I was little, I later studied it in New York and London and now bringing my very modern New York show with soliloquies from Shakespeare to London is a dream come true.

Please hold my trip, the performances of my show and possible forgiveness workshops in June in the light for the highest good.

In gratitude,

Brenda
